Gregory Townsend brings nearly two decades of communications expertise in community engagement, public information, radio, and television broadcast journalism. He has worked in federal, state, county and municipal government; corporate; and non-profit spaces. As an Associate with Craig Communications, Gregory facilitates communication between government organizations, media and the public and provides direct field support during project construction to address community questions in real-time.
Prior to joining Craig Communications, Gregory provided outreach services throughout Alameda County to identify and engage veterans and their families who are most in-need of immediate assistance and resources. As a military videographer and magazine editor, Gregory has traveled globally, logging miles in four continents, dozens of countries, including the Caribbean, Mexico and in the US. As a news reporter, Gregory has covered a variety of stories and conducted interviews in communities as diverse as the news that has impacted them.
Gregory graduated from the University of California, San Bernardino with a B.A., and M.A. in Communications Studies. He is a former San Jose Police Academy Recruit, a United States Air Force (USAF) Veteran and a father. He enjoys reading, music, playing a variety of percussion instruments, guitar practice, fitness training, collecting miniature cars and travel.
